Dave Weller, a California Licensed Private Investigator
Dave started with the LAPD in 1967. His initial assignment was in uniform
patrol where he worked for three years. After leaving Uniform Patrol Division,
he worked non-uniform assignments including divisional vice and narcotics.
He also worked a special problems surveillance unit, which investigated
persons committing crimes of violence and theft of property. He was appointed
to the rank of Detective in 1971. He worked divisions that investigated
organized crime and major violators. One unit, the Criminal Conspiracy Section,
investigated both domestic and international terrorist groups operating
in Los Angeles. He finished his career as the Officer in Charge of the Los
Angeles Bomb Squad. Dave is also a licensed private pilot with over 1500
hours of flying time, much in Baja and mainland Mexico. He has permanent residency status.
